Exide Technologies Warehouse Manager in Richmond, British Columbia
The Branch Manager directs all branch personnel and is responsible for all branch operations including sales, service, shipping and receiving, warehouse management, inventory controls, paperwork processing, and maintaining all branch quality to corporate standards while adhering to established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations. The Branch Manager will be responsible for representing and selling GNB brands (batteries, chargers and service) to lift truck dealers and end users in assigned territory. The Branch Manager will work closely with management to grow market share by reaching established sales and service targets. The Branch Manager coordinates sales and service activity of the branch working with Regional Sales Director and Director of Branch Service.

Develop strategies to nurture and grow Exide's presence and sales in assigned territory.
Meet sales and service goals of the company as assigned by the regional sales and service directors. Includes a personal territory sales goal.
Coordinate activities between branch sales and service personnel helping to coordinate and prioritize activities of the sales and service personnel.
Work closely with lift truck dealer sales and service personnel in the assigned territory to promote GNB products and services.
Call on end user accounts to establish pull demand through lift truck dealers as well to establish direct end user sales relationships where appropriate.
Achieve branch profitability and revenue targets.
Provide review and analysis of monthly branch reports including Sales and Service P&L’s
Manage all branch personnel including employment and training as necessary.
Implement inventory controls and ensure compliance with all Exide’s policies and procedures.
Assure that the Branch on the whole is operating to its highest efficiency.
Manage entire profitability of the Branch. This includes pricing and expense control. Cost areas include sales personnel, warehouse, trucks, service techs, admin and related expenses.
Manage local customer service: Orders, telemarketing and delivery.
Credit Collection (receivables management).
Education, Experience, Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in sales and marketing, or a related business field highly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in selling capital goods in an industrial environment
Minimum of 3 years experience in a management capacity including budgeting and cost containment preferred.
Proven success with consultative sales approach, relationship building and account management.
Quantifiable history of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
Outstanding track record of leading others, influencing decision and making a positive impact
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
Knowledge of Industrial Batteries and Chargers and/or Material Handling market a plus.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven sales, negotiation and presentation skills.
High energy, self motivated, ability to be successful without direct supervision.
Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
