Exide Technologies Senior Manager, Risk Management in Milton, Georgia

Overview

Responsible for the corporate insurance management function; implements, maintains and administrates comprehensive risk transfer and/or risk retention programs. Protects the human and physical assets of the corporation and its earning power through the reduction or transfer of risk through conventional insurance or other funding techniques. Monitors divisional business activities and operations in order to identify exposures to risk.

Responsibilities

  1. Manages the corporate worldwide insurance programs.

  2. Monitors divisional business activities and operations in order to identify exposures to risk. Inspects operations to identify exposures to loss which could be reduced by transferring the risk to third parties.

  3. Designs, implements and manages the corporate primary property and casualty insurance program.

  4. Negotiates policy terms and conditions with insurance underwriters or intermediaries.

  5. Reviews existing and proposed contract language pertaining to insurance and indemnity matters; drafts revised language when necessary.

  6. Administers self insured authorization in various states; secures bonds for the corporation, and obtains certificates of insurance.

  7. Maintains self insurance authorization in various states; secures bonds for the corporation, and obtains certificates of insurance.

  8. Plans effective investigation and conclusion of all insurable and recoverable losses; collects from third parties through subrogation.

  9. Provides assistance to the Legal Department in liability and lawsuit claims activities, arranges for witnesses and assures that the Company’s interest are protected.

  10. Analyzes insurance costs, loss experience from various carriers to assure accuracy critical to present and future contractual and renewal costs.

  11. Manages all financial transactions relating to insurance issues.

  12. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • 10 to 15 years of related work experience

  • B.S. degree in Business Administration preferred. Masters degree a plus.
