Exide Technologies Senior Manager, Facilities and Project Management in Milton, Georgia
Responsible for directing and overseeing all facilities and project management operation activities of the organization, including implementation of policies and procedures and ensuring those policies and procedures are adhered to. Management of project operations, including selection of vendors, contractors and field personnel, safety, project set-up, day to day interaction with project teams and other departments, project controls (budgeting, tracking, reporting, et al), cost controls, forecasting, dispute management, stakeholder relations, etc. Management of facilities operations for administrative offices for all office services, vendors, contractors, repairs & maintenance, moves/adds/changes, etc.
Represents the company and is the subject matter expert on facilities and project management matters.
Plays lead role in the development of project plans, budgets, controls, and processes that allow for optimal delivery of projects.
Directly manages and oversees facilities personnel, vendors and contractors for delivery of services such as repairs & maintenance, building operations, vendor management, engineering, security, parking, property management, leasing, reporting, etc.
Navigates complex relationships involving global leadership, division leadership, regional management in the execution of projects, programs, initiatives, and day-to-day responsibilities.
Mitigates risk across the facilities and project management functions and serves as subject matter expert in this area.
Develops functional area and project specific goals and objectives, plans, assumptions, budgets, schedules, deliverables, milestones, et al. Tracks and reports upon success of each.
Oversees any and all necessary due diligence efforts for each project and responsible for delivering, producing and/or maintaining all related documentation.
Provides highest level of quality and consistency ensuring projects are completed on time, within approved budget, in scope, meet end user requirements, and that all projects meet company expectations and standards of excellence.
Manage construction documents for scope, phasing, constructibility, and completeness so as to eliminate unforeseen changes and increased costs. Analyze monthly draw requests for accuracy and appropriateness of funding for contractor disbursements, including lien waivers.
Seek out and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, facilities and project savings, value engineering, and innovative solutions to enhance overall function delivery.
Provide monthly progress reports and updates as needed identifying inventory control, specific issues, delays and governmental requirements.
Develops and implements maintenance and service programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the properties, where applicable, protecting and prolonging the useful life of assets within the portfolio and assuring customer satisfaction of the staff occupying the space.
Manages property related business unit requirements, document management, site commissioning & decommissioning, leasing support activities, site security needs, etc.
Partner with business management, plant operations, EH&S, IT, Communications, HR, NPP teams, etc.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Design.
10+ years work experience in real estate with emphasis on project management, facilities management, construction, or development.
Professional accreditation (FMP, PMP, CPM, LEED, etc.) and/or licensure preferred, but not required.

Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to influence and shape outcomes.
Strong project management skills.
Detail oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong working knowledge of architectural design, CAD and construction drawings, value engineering, furniture systems and plans, and project schedules.
Ability to effectively communicate in complex situations with architects, designers, attorneys, government officials, Exide leadership, Exide stakeholders and end-users, etc.
Ability to translate business requirements in to project goals and deliverables.
Ability to negotiate, consult and influence decisions of key stakeholders, internal clients, and external parties.
Problem solver with ability to organize multiple priorities, tasks, and requests.
Self-starter with ability to work alone and as part of team.
Strong presentation and reporting skills.
Ability to hire, train, and develop staff.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Project software and CAD or CAD-Lite experience preferred.
