Exide Technologies Sales Planning Manager in Milton, Georgia

Overview

If you are numbers driven, collaborative and flexible with strong presentation skills, the Sales Planning Manager (SPM) is a job for you! The position has direct involvement in all Product Launches for our Transportation division. You'll also manage the product allocation activity and work with Marketing to develop Sales Tools, Programs and Campaigns for assigned products.

And because you like numbers, you will be able to provide limited analytical support for the Directors of Sales and Account Teams to help them make solid decisions for the business.

Experience leading change, acting with boldness and laser focused on delivering a World Class Customer Experience are must haves. This role requires maximum flexibility and focus on implementing significant change.

Responsibilities

  • Expert (or becomes an expert) in all key data sources. Gather necessary data and/or analysis, provide the commercial perspective explaining key metric performance impact on the business, summarize the key drivers and provide recommendations for next actions. This includes pricing, promotion, product launch, and product screen analysis.Coordinates with all necessary internal/external departments with minimal assistance from manager to achieve deliverables on all projects assigned.

  • Coordinates tasks in a cross-functional, multi-task environment in order to achieve deliverables on all Processes with responsibility.

  • Leads channel Demand Stimulation, Programs, Campaigns, Pre order activities and assists with Product Screen initiatives; develop and provide Training and Tools as needed for the Field Sales Force to use with Customers.

  • Present key business findings to Directors, Account Teams and/or customers under the direction of Sales Operations.

  • Thrive in an action-oriented environment with very tight deadlines. All business reporting and analysis deadlines must be met.

  • Build and maintain internal relationships with team members at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required

  • Strong analytical skills, prefer experience providing effective sales analysis

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Expert (or quickly becomes an Expert) with JDE, Salesforce.com, Excel & Sales Cubes

  • High degree of flexibility, extremely organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Customers, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Legal, IT & Supply Chain teams

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word and other MS Products
