Exide Technologies Credit Analyst in Milton, Georgia
This position is responsible for analyzing financial information on our customers and recommending Credit Limits, Maximum Order Values & Terms. This individual must maintain approved credit metrics in JD Edwards.
Gather financial information from Customer web-sites, D & B, Credit Risk Monitor and other available tools.
Utilize this financial information to recommend Credit Limits, Maximum Order Values & Terms for Customers to the Sr. Director Finance – Shared Services when requests are received to Set-Up new accounts and/or conduct credit reviews.
Request new Bill To and Ship To accounts be set-up when requests are received from the field.
Complete Credit Reviews in the COCC Process.
Develop & Maintain Service Oriented Working Relationship with the Commercial Team, including the Branch Network, both Transportation & Industrial.
Release Orders that go on Hold for various reasons if appropriately approved for release..
Maintain the Status of Customers and notify the Sr. Director Finance – Shared Services of problematic accounts, including recommendations to place accounts on Hold.
Place past due questionable accounts on Hold when approved by the Sr. Director Finance – Shared Services.
Education, Experience, Certifications :
B.S. Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
3 plus years of work experience in credit/collections.
3 plus years experience working with an AS-400 version of JD Edwards.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge :
Good oral and written communication skills in dealing with customers, both internal & external.
Good organizational skills in order to efficiently manage multiple tasks & numerous accounts.
Ability to deal with difficult situations and maintain positive attitude.
Must be detailed orientated with good financial aptitude: ability to adequately analyze financial statements, particularly Balance Sheet.
Possess proficient computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office Products.
