Exide Technologies Cost Analyst/Accountant in Milton, Georgia
The Cost Analyst/Accountant position will maintain the bill-of-materials and costing in JDE and serve as the key position in the implementation of the annual cost roll. This person will also assist with monthly inventory reconciliations, the month-end close process, and several critical functions and analyses involving inventory accounting.
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Maintain bill-of-materials, Item Master, and routers in J. D. Edwards to ensure proper inventory costing.
Implement annual cost roll.
Generate MDRA reports, send out for approvals, and journalize when approved.
Reconcile in-transit inventory accounts and work with the field to get transactions cleared.
Reconcile General Ledger accounts to inventory subledger monthly.
Reconcile and manage accounting for Exide inventory at specific third-party vendors.
Monitor key General Ledger accounts daily for problems with production, receiving and shipping.
Analyze Conversion-to-Division-Standards and other accounts monthly as required.
Assist with the month-end close process.
Assist with the annual Physical Inventory as required.
Required Skills/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
2-3 years accounting experience. Cost accounting interest and experience a plus.
Strong organization, time-management and communication skills.
Strong PC and analytical skills. (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel.)
Ability to work independently.
JDE experience a plus.
