Exide Technologies Warehouse Operator / Commisd’entrepôt in Longueuil, Canada

Overview

The role of the Warehouse person is to receive, check, plaque, store, and prepare for shipment Exide products - batteries, Chargers and associated items. In addition, the incumbent may receive, sort and prepare for shipment scrap batteries received from the customer site. The Warehouse person may assume different responsibilities based on the size of the operation and level of responsibility at the facility.

Le rôle du commis d’entrepôt est de recevoir, vérifier, plaquer, entreposer et expédier des batteries, chargeurs et article associés. En outre, le/la titulaire aura aussi à recevoir et identifier les retours veilles batteries, garanties ainsi que des batteries neuves des clients. Le/la titulaire aura à préparer des voyages de veilles aux fonderies. Le commis peut assumer différentes responsabilités en fonction de la taille des opérations et du niveau de responsabilité de l’installation.

Responsibilities

  • Receive ‘black box’ batteries from US shipment, move to production or racking

  • Receive finished batteries from other Canadian branches, move to storage or prepare for shipment

  • Prepare batteries and chargers for shipment - includes testing, plaquing, modifying, and option changeouts per specifications.

  • Stage truckload items and load trucks as necessary - Material handling as necessary

  • Maintain stock inventory - rotate, state of charge, etc, including material handling as necessary

  • Receive and inspect, segregate stock from custom incoming inventory from the factory

  • Test, charge (reboost), maintain, changeout options, etc. pre shipment

  • Audit order ship-to requirements, labeling, customer required specifications

  • Perform tasking such as counting product, documenting physical or cycle inventory

  • Perform administrative functions on JDE and computer for inventory control and customer service tracking

  • Work in a safe manner with all equipment and comply with all safety and health policies

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Recevoir les batteries des État-Unis et de d’autre succursale du Canada

  • Préparer les batteries et chargeurs pour l’expédition (comprend tester le voltage, montage des palettes, organisez le chargement des articles et chargez les camions si nécessaire.

  • Maintenir l’inventaire des stocks, rotation, état de charge, ect.

  • Recevoir, vérifier, séparer le stock de l’inventaire entrant.

  • Participer aux inventaires cycliques et annuels.

  • Effectuer des tâches administratives sur ordinateur avec le programme JDE

  • Travailler de manière sécuritaire avec tous les équipements et se conformer à toutes politiques de santé et sécurité.

  • Maintenir un espace de travail propre et ordonné

  • Toutes autres tâches assignées par la direction.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred

  • Basic computer experience with Microsoft Windows environment a plus

  • Sit Down and/or Stand Up Forklift Certification would be an asset

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Individual is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum 30lbs on a daily basis and 51 to 70lbs with assistance of equipment on a daily to weekly basis.

  • Regular use of safety glasses and any other safety equipment necessary

  • Vision requirements: close vision.

Exigences physique
