Exide Technologies Process Engineer Technician in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Engineering Technicians act as hands-on experts for assigned process/equipment throughout the facility.
Develop, document, and maintain standards and specifications for plant processes, equipment, and operations.
Effectively work with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to keep plant processes running at optimal levels of:
Work with operators, operations leaders, and engineering to develop, document, and implement continuous improvement ideas.
Collect and analyze data to support and implement problem resolution.
Do hands-on engineering tasks:
Plant layout improvement ideas
Equipment improvement ideas
Process improvement ideas
Process review and data collection
Develop tables, graphs
Do minor engineering calculations and estimates
Do plant level project management
Submit weekly and monthly reports and updates on assigned areas to keep operations and management teams informed.
Accomplish assigned tasks autonomously.
Two year technical degree in suitable field plus five ( 5) years of manufacturing experience are required.
Physical demands include hearing, speaking, seeing, writing, standing, sitting, walking, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive use of hands.
Normal office environment as well as exposure to lead, fumes, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, extreme heat, extreme cold in the plant. This is a full time position, and working at the plant is required.
